Just a few more snow pics!

Just a few more snow pics from Day 2 & 3.
Most of these pictures were taken by Annie.

I LOVED waking up on day 2 & 3 after it snowed to still seeing a yard full of snow through my windows. Made me smile big and of course the kids were so excited too! Snow usually melts pretty quickly here in the deep south so this was really unusual.

Emmy made this 2014 and then took the picture from her bedroom window.

Our Bear boy loved the snow too!

The kids pulled out our pizza pans to use sleds.

Annie's snowman.

On day 3 Annie made a mate for her snowman. *grin*

The 3rd day after is snowed. Amazing that so much snow was still on the ground.

She is armed with snowballs and she is not afraid to use them.

We interrupt this regularly scheduled program.....

.......for this important piece of news.

It snowed in Alabama yesterday!
(insert happy dance here)

{our home}

It started at our house around 9:30am and didn't stop until right before dark at 5pm. The last time we measured, around 4pm, we had 3 inches in most places.

This was a surprise snow. It had been predicted that we might get a little snow but overall they didn't think the snow would reach this far north and the prediction was for Montgomery to get the most of it. The cold air came up from the gulf coast this time rather than north to south like normal. Our high was 18 degrees and the snow ended up going as far north as Gasden, Alabama. Of course, we were thrilled!
