Emmy's 16th B-day

Emmy turned 16 on a Tuesday. I told her I was taking her and Annie out to lunch at the place of her choice. She chose Cracker Barrel as our place to eat. When we got there I had a few surprises waiting for her. Bryan met us there on his lunch break and Emmy's two best friends Abby and Katie and their mom Melodye were also able to join us. Em was surprised and loved that they were able to be there.

A new ipod case! They also got her a make-up bag with some new make-up.

We ended up staying at Cracker Barrel for 3 hours visiting after lunch.

On the way home I surprised her with a stop off at the theater to see God's Not Dead, a movie she had been wanting to see.

After the movie we picked up some Publix fried chicken to take home which was her birthday dinner choice.

She decided that she didn't want a cake this year. She chose ice cream as her special dessert instead.

Red Velvet Cake ice cream. :)

It was a fun day of celebrating! I still can't believe she is 16 already!

A Friends Birthday

My dear friend Regina has a sweet daughter named Mackensie. Mackensie turned 12 recently and we had the privilege of celebrating her birthday on Good Friday. Regina planned a mall scavenger hunt which was really fun.

For the scavenger hunt all of the girls were split into two teams and the teams started at opposite ends of the mall. Both teams had the same list and raced to see who could finish first. This is our team starting at Macy's.

Good Friday happened to be our Camden's 8th birthday and his only request for his birthday was to spend it with Logan, his best bud. Logan is Mackensies (birthday girl) brother. So it worked out well and the boys joined in on the scavenger hunt.

Regina reading the first item on the list.

1st thing on the list was to find a blender in a home department.

2nd item on list- to sing and dance Ring Around the Rosie in the mall.

3rd on list- to work together as a team to eat a happy meal from McDonalds.

Ally, Abby, and Natalie drinking the drink.

4th on list- obtain a perfume sample.

5th on list- find the cutest baby outfit you can.

6th on list- find something with Donald duck on it and kiss it.

7th on list- get a picture of your entire team going up or down an escalator with hands in air.

8th on list- get a picture of your entire team on a mattress.

Last on list- make the strangest Lego you can at the Lego store.

Our team at the finish line.
